please allow us to introduce ourselves...
SLOVER [AND] COMPANY IS A BRAND DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT FIRM.
WE’VE BEEN THINKING AND CREATING IN DOWNTOWN NEW YORK FOR 35 YEARS (WELL, SOME OF US, ANYWAY). WE MOVED TO SOHO WHEN MEN STILL ROLLED GARMENT RACKS DOWN THE MIDDLE OF BROADWAY. IT’S SINCE GOTTEN A LITTLE CROWDED FOR THAT, SO WE’VE CHANGED THINGS UP: SOME OF US DECAMPED TO TRIBECA. AND A COUPLE OF US SPEND TIME IN LAS VEGAS AND CLEVELAND.
WE’RE SMALL BUT MIGHTY.
We think about the ways that people perceive places, products and services. Perception is a highly complex process, and it varies from group to group (and person to person). So we consider emotions and the deeper, subconscious level of thought. What people think when they don't even quite know they're thinking. What they say to themselves in that interior voice, when your lips don't move and no one hears you...but you.
...But we have the soul of a design firm. So, we naturally think about
HOW THINGS
YES, BUT ALWAYS WITHIN THE REALM OF THE SENSES. WE’RE RESEARCHERS, TOO, BUT WE DO MOST OF IT OUT THERE, WHERE CONSUMERS ACTUALLY MAKE THEIR DECISIONS. AND WE ALWAYS THINK ABOUT WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE THAT HAS A LOT TO DO WITH WHAT COMES NEXT.
and how the way they perform can affect people's reactions to them. Why pick up one box over another? Or take the time to read a website or a brochure or a hotel compendium? What is it about a place that makes you want to Go There Now?
nalytical?
Regardless of what people may tell you, what we do is not a science, it's an art. There's something magical in the moment that a shopper or a traveler decides to commit to a purchase. Design is about passion. It's about seduction. And finally,
How do we think you should think about us?
OUR MOVIE
09:15
We invite you to roam around our site and look at work we've done. But if you aren't the kind of person who likes to click>click>click, please watch our movie. For the record: we know 9:15 is long for an online video; but it is a tour through 15,768,000 minutes of work.
[Thank goodness life doesn't pass that quickly.]
